A total of 44 inmates in various Gujarat prisons have successfully cleared the Class 10 and Class 12 exams conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). Among them, 22 inmates passed the Class 10 exam, while another 22 cleared the Class 12 exam, thanks to the support and guidance provided by the Office of Gujarat Prisons and Correctional Administration.
Gujarat Police Chief KLN Rao highlighted the positive impact of education on inmates, stating that through education, these individuals were able to overcome challenges and reintegrate into society. Successful inmates will be recognized with certificates by the prison department as a token of their achievements.
The State Prison department played a crucial role in facilitating the inmates’ education by providing necessary resources such as exam forms, study materials, and conducting classes within the jail premises. This supportive environment helped create opportunities for the inmates to pursue education and improve their prospects for the future.
