The 72nd Senior Nationals Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 is set to take place at the Sama Indoor Complex in Vadodara from February 24 to 27. The tournament will see 31 teams from all over India, with around 400 players vying for the championship title.
Organized by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), the event will bring together a mix of seasoned players and up-and-coming talents. Notably, participants who shined in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 will also be in action.
Key figures to keep an eye on include the top three raiders from PKL Season 12: Ayan Lohchab (Haryana) with 316 raid points, Devank Dalal with 271 points, and Bharat Hooda (Services) who scored 230. Additionally, the tournament will showcase emerging talents like Deepak Sankar from Tamil Nadu and Aditya Shinde from Maharashtra.
Defending champions Services, boasting a strong lineup, are determined to retain their title. Teams like Railways, Haryana, and Maharashtra are also expected to present tough competition, ensuring an exciting and fiercely competitive event. This championship serves as a crucial platform for players to showcase their skills and potentially secure spots in national camps and professional leagues.
The Senior Nationals is a collaborative effort between the Gujarat Kabaddi Association and the Vadodara Kabaddi Association, working closely with AKFI to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the tournament.
