In a disturbing incident in an upscale Bhopal neighborhood, a 75-year-old man, posing as a lawyer, was apprehended for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl. The accused, known as “Nana” (maternal grandfather) by the child, lived nearby. This shocking event has sparked fear and worry among residents about children’s safety in the area.
The victim, identified as the daughter of a defense officer, visited the lawyer’s granddaughter on May 3. While playing, the accused lured the child to another room and allegedly committed inappropriate acts. The child later complained of pain to her mother, who discovered scratch marks and sought medical help. Subsequent examinations indicated possible sexual abuse.
Following a formal complaint to the Habibganj Police Station, the accused was arrested and taken into custody.
