Oscar-winning music maestro A R Rahman is set to step into the world of acting in the upcoming movie ‘Moonwalk’, directed by Manoj N S and starring Prabhudeva. The film, produced by Behindwoods Productions, has generated excitement with the release of 14 intriguing character posters. In a first, Rahman has lent his voice to all five songs in ‘Moonwalk’, adding a unique musical touch to the soundtrack.
Director Manoj NS expressed his delight in working with Rahman and Prabhudeva on the song ‘Mayile’, praising their performances. Rahman will portray a fictional character, an “angry young film director,” in the film, promising an interesting narrative twist. Prabhudeva’s role as ‘Babootty’, a versatile film choreographer, is anticipated to bring a blend of performance and humor to the screen.
The ensemble cast of ‘Moonwalk’ includes Yogi Babu in a triple role, with characters named ‘Kavarimaan Narayanan’, ‘Aattukkaal Azhagu Rasa’, and ‘Dubai Mathew’, adding to the film’s unconventional charm. The movie also features a talented lineup of actors such as Aju Varghese, Arjun Ashokan, and Sushmitha, each portraying distinct characters. Scheduled for a theatrical release in May 2026, ‘Moonwalk’ promises a full-length comedy experience for audiences.
