If industry sources are to be believed, A R Rahman, the Oscar-winning musician, will compose the music for director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie, which will feature Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. Despite rumors circulating on social media about another musician being considered, insiders close to the film have confirmed that Rahman will indeed be the music composer. Rahman, known for his collaboration with Mani Ratnam since the 1992 hit ‘Roja,’ is said to have already created a song for this romantic entertainer. The film, produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, is set to commence shooting this summer, with unconfirmed reports hinting at a July start.

For those unfamiliar, Vijay Sethupathi is expected to star in Mani Ratnam’s new project, with actress Sai Pallavi likely to play the female lead. In a recent interview, Sethupathi praised Ratnam’s efficiency and expressed his eagerness to understand the director’s vision for his character. This collaboration marks Sethupathi’s second project with Ratnam, following their work together in the acclaimed film ‘Chekka Chevantha Vaanam.’
