Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan, expressed pride in her mother, Reena Dutta, for her role in producing the acclaimed film ‘Lagaan’, which has completed 25 years in Hindi cinema and has been re-released.
Ira, the daughter of Aamir and Reena, praised her mother for creating the film and used hashtags like #lagaan #producer #proud. Reena Dutta served as the Executive Producer in the Ashutosh Gowariker-directed movie.
Aamir and Reena, who were married in 1986, have two children together, Ira and Junaid. After their divorce in 2002, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. They have a son named Azad Rao Khan, born in 2011 through surrogacy.
The film ‘Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India’ was released in 2001 and is an epic period sports drama that also features actors like Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, and Paul Blackthorne. Set during the late Victorian period of British colonial rule in India in 1893, the movie tells the story of a village challenged by a British officer to a cricket match to avoid high taxes.
