Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia criticized the BJP-led Central government for its alleged negligence towards the recent “paper leaks” in the NEET-UG 2026 examination. Sisodia expressed concern over the perpetrators of such actions being swiftly released without proper consequences. The National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled the NEET-UG 2026 exam held on May 3 and announced plans for a re-conduct on separate dates.
Sisodia highlighted the recurring issue of NEET paper leaks, suggesting a lack of concern from the Union government for the students taking the exam. He questioned the government’s response and expressed worries about the impact on the lakhs of students and their families. Additionally, Sisodia criticized the lenient treatment of wrongdoers, implying connections to influential individuals in power.
The former Delhi Education Minister further criticized the NTA, labeling its performance as a “failure” and accusing the agency of jeopardizing the future of the country’s students. In a separate incident, the Delhi Police rescued 18 NEET aspirants who were being unlawfully confined by a group promising guaranteed MBBS admissions for significant sums. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also raised concerns about corruption in the NEET UG exam, blaming the Union government for failing to curb malpractices that threaten the prospects of the youth.
