The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab organized protests condemning the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), BJP, and Congress for allegedly defaming Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann with a fake video circulated on social media. Across Punjab, AAP members and supporters accused the Opposition of spreading false propaganda and religious misuse to hinder the state’s progress. Protesters in various cities voiced their opposition against divisive politics and expressed support for CM Mann’s governance focused on transparency and development.
From Faridkot to Badal village, demonstrators criticized anti-Punjab forces for exploiting religious sentiments and creating political discord. They emphasized the people’s rejection of divisive politics and their determination to safeguard the state’s peace and progress. Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema highlighted the government’s achievements under CM Mann, citing job creation, educational reforms, infrastructure development, and welfare programs as key priorities driving Punjab’s growth.
Cheema underscored the Opposition’s discomfort with Punjab’s progress, accusing the SAD of resorting to malicious tactics to tarnish the Chief Minister’s reputation. He condemned the dissemination of a fabricated video as a desperate attempt by political entities losing public support. The AAP’s symbolic protests aimed to denounce anti-Panth and anti-Punjab activities, asserting the people’s awareness of such conspiracies and their commitment to upholding Punjab’s interests.
