Aman Arora, the Punjab President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), criticized Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu for flouting election rules during the municipal corporation elections. Arora accused the BJP minister and leaders of disrupting the democratic process through ‘goondaism.’
In response, Union Minister Bittu alleged that Cabinet minister Arora resorted to personal attacks against his family and blamed the state police for mistreating him. Arora highlighted how the AAP government had instructed for peaceful and democratic elections, but the BJP engaged in intimidation and misuse of power.
Arora condemned the BJP for a pattern of hooliganism and manipulation in elections, citing incidents in West Bengal and Punjab. He expressed strong disapproval of the behavior of Ravneet Bittu and BJP leaders, emphasizing that such actions were unacceptable to the people of Punjab.
Union Minister Bittu defended himself, stating that he has maintained political dignity throughout his parliamentary tenure and refrained from personal attacks. He mentioned his grandfather’s sacrifice in fighting terrorism and criticized the AAP government for politicizing the police force for its own interests.
