Actor Abhay Verma and Sharvari celebrated the two-year anniversary of their comedy horror drama film, “Munjya,” on Sunday. Abhay shared unseen moments from the set on his Instagram, expressing how his role as Bittu transformed his acting journey. Sharvari also joined in, calling it her forever favorite. The movie, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and written by Niren Bhatt, is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
Released in 2024, “Munjya” features Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Sathyaraj, and Mona Singh in lead roles, with a strong supporting cast. The storyline, inspired by Indian folklore, revolves around the legend of Munjya. The film’s cinematography is by Saurabh Goswami, edited by Monisha R. Baldawa, and scored by composer duo Sachin–Jigar. Despite being a sleeper hit, it has garnered appreciation for its unique concept.
Abhay Verma’s upcoming projects include the romantic film “Laikey Laikaa” with Rasha Thadani and the Malayalam movie “Dilkashi” directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. “Dilkashi,” produced by Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal, also stars Zahaan Kapoor in a significant role.
