A significant crowd in Abu Dhabi gathered at Jebel Hafeet mountain in the UAE to partake in yoga activities ahead of the 12th International Yoga Day. Ambassador Deepak Mittal engaged in a rejuvenating yoga session at Jebel Hafeet, organized by the Indian Social Centre, Al Ain.
The Indian Embassy in the UAE also arranged a lively yoga event at the India Social and Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi, uniting the community for well-being and unity. President of Nauru, David Adeang, along with other yoga enthusiasts, participated in yoga sessions earlier in the day.
In Oman, the Embassy of India, in collaboration with the Indian Social Club, Salalah, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with active involvement from the Indian community, Omani friends, and yoga lovers. The event emphasized the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting yoga’s role in promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, healthy lifestyles, and inner peace.
Guadalajara also marked the International Day of Yoga with a spirited community gathering at Plaza de Espana, attended by the Indian Ambassador to Spain and the Mayor of Guadalajara, Ana Guarinos Lopez. The event in Spain is part of various IDY 2026 events taking place across all Autonomous Communities and Autonomous Cities, fostering health and well-being values.
The Embassy of India in Slovenia collaborated with the University of Ljubljana to host an event that brought together yoga enthusiasts and experts for an invigorating session. Led by Amb Amit Narang and Prof. Monika, the event witnessed a remarkable turnout, leaving a lasting impact on health and wellness. The strong presence of students and Slovenian youth at the 12th IDY signifies the increasing acknowledgment that well-being is an investment for the future.
