The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) presented six individuals, including Jugal Kishore Bishnoi, Director of the Rajasthan State Seed Corporation, before the ACB Special Court in Bikaner regarding the fake seed case. These accused have been placed in ACB custody for five days. The arrests were made following the recovery of Rs 2.44 crore in connection with the case, including significant amounts found at the residences of the accused.
Kiran Kapadia, associated with the “Gajraj” brand, was apprehended for allegedly offering a substantial bribe. Ganpat Bishnoi and two brokers, Sunil Setia and Satpal, were also arrested for their suspected involvement. The ACB intercepted an attempt to transfer Rs 90 lakh, believed to be part of the bribe money, leading to the arrest of Swatantra Vishnoi. Investigations indicate a concerted effort to influence proceedings related to the fake seed case and manipulate seed sales.
Jugal Kishore Bishnoi, a recent appointee as Director of the Rajasthan State Seed Corporation, was reportedly recommended for the position by a former MLA. The ongoing ACB investigation is expected to reveal more details as the interrogation of the accused progresses.
