Actor Addinath Kothare recently shared his excitement about working with filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari in the series “System.” Kothare revealed that he had expressed his desire to collaborate with Tiwari at a Bollywood award event, and to his surprise, he received a casting call the very next day.
In “System,” Kothare portrayed the character “Alok” alongside veteran actor-director Ashutosh Gowariker and actress Sonakshi Sinha. The series, created by Harman Baweja and directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, revolves around privileged prosecutor Neha Rajvansh and humble stenographer Sarika Rawat, whose lives intersect in a system where power influences truth.

His acting journey began as a child artist in his father’s film in 1994, leading to adult roles in various films and series, including the sports drama “Standby” and the college drama “Satrangi Re.”
Kothare’s notable performances in films like “Zapatlela 2,” “Hello Nandan,” and “Avatarachi Goshta,” along with his role as cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar in the Hindi film “83,” have garnered him recognition. In recent years, he has gained prominence with projects like the musical romantic drama “Chandramukhi,” the family drama “Shaktimaan,” and the comedy “Panchak.” Additionally, Kothare made his directorial debut with the award-winning film “Paani” and has been part of series such as “City of Dreams – Season 2” and “Crime Beat.”
