Actor-writer Adivi Sesh shared his views on the changing landscape of Indian cinema, emphasizing the importance of creating films that resonate with audiences nationwide, transcending language barriers. He expressed that films should be seen as Indian stories rather than being confined to specific language markets. Sesh highlighted the need to focus on storytelling over language labels to foster a truly pan-India cinema experience.
Sesh criticized the continued classification of films based on language, noting that this practice creates an unnecessary divide in the Indian film industry. He stressed that language should serve as a means of expression, not a constraint, and urged the industry to align with the evolving preferences of the audience. According to Sesh, filmmakers have a duty to craft authentic narratives that can be appreciated by viewers across the country, promoting inclusivity and diversity in storytelling.
The actor’s latest project, “Dacoit: A Love Story,” directed by Shaneil Deo, features Mrunal Thakur in the lead role alongside Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and others in supporting roles. Additionally, Sesh is set to star in “G2,” a spy action thriller directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, which serves as a sequel to “Goodachari,” with Emraan Hashmi and Wamiqa Gabbi among the cast members.
