Actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya, set to star in a film directed by Arijit Singh, shared his thoughts on the singer’s decision to retire from playback singing. Bhattacharya praised Singh’s artistic approach, describing him as a calm and emotive director who prioritizes emotions over technicalities. Despite admiring Singh’s directing skills, Bhattacharya, like many others, expressed hope that Singh would return to singing in the future.
The upcoming jungle adventure film, currently filming in Shantiniketan, features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special role. Arijit Singh and Koel have co-written the script, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s daughter and Arijit’s son making their on-screen debut together. The film is a joint production by Arijit Singh, his wife Koel Singh, and Mahavir Jain.
Arijit Singh recently announced his retirement from playback singing, expressing gratitude for his musical journey and stating that he will not be taking on any new singing assignments. In 2018, Singh directed the Bengali film ‘Sa’, a story revolving around a young boy’s relationship with music.
