Actor Rakesh Bedi, known for his role as Jameel Jamali in the successful ‘Dhurandhar’ series, refuted claims of being paid a Rs 1 crore bonus for his work in the film. Taking to Instagram, Bedi shared a video dismissing the reports and advised his followers to be cautious about such media stories.
In the video, Bedi addressed the rumors, stating that despite widespread circulation of the claim, he had not received any such bonus. He humorously questioned the whereabouts of the alleged money and assured his audience that if he did receive it, he might not disclose it publicly.
The media report that sparked the controversy suggested that the producers of ‘Dhurandhar’ rewarded Bedi with a substantial bonus exceeding INR 1 crore due to the positive reception of his portrayal of a Pakistani politician and double agent in the movie. Bedi’s character, Jameel Jamali, a RAW agent infiltrating Pakistan’s political and civil systems, has garnered significant acclaim. The film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has reportedly achieved a global box office collection of INR 1800, establishing itself as a major success in Hindi cinema.
