Actor Shalin Bhanot has observed a significant decline in crime rates across various Indian cities compared to the 1980s and 1990s. He highlighted that people now feel safer, especially women who can move around with more confidence due to the decrease in crime incidents. Shalin shared these insights while discussing his latest series, Inspector Avinash, set in the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh during the mentioned decades.

Shalin emphasized the evolving nature of crime and law enforcement, particularly in the context of his series, Inspector Avinash. He pointed out that the show offers a unique perspective on policing in the 80s and 90s, shedding light on the complexities and dangers faced by police officers during that period.

In his portrayal of Baljeet, a Punjabi Sikh character in ‘Inspector Avinash,’ Shalin delves into the challenges and realities of law enforcement during that era. The series, led by Randeep Hooda in the titular role, aims to provide viewers with a realistic portrayal of the law and order situation prevalent in the past.

Shalin recently shared a glimpse of the effort put into bringing his character to life in the show. Through a series of behind-the-scenes videos and photos, he showcased the rigorous preparation, action sequences, dubbing sessions, and other candid moments from the set. This peek into the making of ‘Inspector Avinash’ Season 2 was well-received by fans eagerly awaiting its release.
