Television actress Aishwarya Sakhuja recently spoke out about the challenges of dealing with type 1 diabetes. Through an Instagram post, she emphasized the importance of support and understanding for individuals managing this condition. Sakhuja highlighted that simple gestures and awareness can significantly impact those with diabetes.

She mentioned that being friends with a type 1 diabetic is not complicated but requires some understanding. Sakhuja explained various aspects of living with the condition, such as the need for glucose over insulin during a hypo, the impact of blood sugar on behavior, and the necessity of carrying essential supplies everywhere.

Aishwarya Sakhuja clarified that type 1 diabetes is not caused by lifestyle but is an autoimmune condition. She shared insights into the meticulous planning required for activities like sleepovers, trips, and exercise due to the condition’s complexities. Sakhuja also emphasized the continuous effort involved in managing blood sugar levels through carb counting and insulin calculations.

The actress disclosed that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2018 after experiencing side effects from medication that affected her pancreas. Initially struggling to accept the diagnosis, Sakhuja eventually adapted to the necessary lifestyle changes to effectively control her blood sugar levels.

Aishwarya Sakhuja, known for her roles in various TV shows and reality programs, has been actively managing her condition while pursuing her career in the entertainment industry.
