Television actress Rajashree Thakur recently met her former co-star Sharad Kelkar at an awards event, bringing back memories of their show “Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar” that aired from 2005 to 2009. Rajashree shared pictures on Instagram with Sharad and also with actress Sayantani Ghosh. She expressed nostalgia about meeting Sharad after almost a decade, feeling like no time had passed between them. The actress mentioned the strong bond she shares with Sayantani Ghosh, appreciating their enduring connection.
“Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar” addressed social discrimination issues, particularly related to skin color, following the journey of Saloni, a woman facing bias due to her dark skin tone. Despite societal challenges, Saloni strives to establish her identity and lead a fulfilling life, navigating marriage and family responsibilities while challenging social prejudices. Rajashree Thakur, before her role in the show, worked as a Marathi newsreader at All India Radio and appeared in advertisements. She also featured in the Indo-French film “Hava Aney Dey” and portrayed Maharani Jaiwanta Bai Songara in “Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.” In August 2020, Rajashree played the lead role of Preeti Jindal in “Shaadi Mubarak” opposite Manav Gohil and was last seen in “Appnapan – Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan.”
