Actress Rasha Thadani recently posted throwback pictures of her mother, Bollywood star Raveena Tandon, on Instagram. The photos capture Raveena during her early acting days, exuding the charm that made her a 1990s icon.
Adding a fun twist, Rasha paired the images with the hit song ‘Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’ from the 1998 film “Dulhe Raja” starring Govinda. In a simple yet heartfelt caption, Rasha wrote just one word: “Mom.”
Raveena joined in the comments section, expressing love for her daughter with the endearing term “Cookiiiieeee” along with heart emojis. “Dulhe Raja,” which also features Kader Khan, Johnny Lever, Prem Chopra, and Asrani, emerged as the seventh highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 1998 and is now considered a cult classic comedy.
Rasha made her Bollywood debut in the film “Azaad” last year, directed by Abhishek Kapoor and featuring Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty. The story, set in 1920s India, follows a young stable boy’s bond with a spirited horse amid a backdrop of rebellion and tyranny, turning into a tale of courage and national freedom.
Next, Rasha will appear in “Laikey Laikaa” alongside Abhay Verma, directed by Saurabh Gupta. The film delves into a “dark love story” against a gritty setting, exploring themes of intense romance, pain, and danger. Additionally, she has been confirmed for a Tollywood project with filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi, tentatively titled “#AB4,” presented by Ashwin Dutt and produced by Gemini Kiran under Chandamama Kathalu Pictures.
Expressing her excitement for this new venture, Rasha shared on Instagram: “New beginnings, endless gratitude! Mee andariki prema tho, I’m stepping into Telugu cinema. Thank you @ajaybhupathi sir for this opportunity. Chala excited to start this journey!
