Actress Trisha Krishnan, known for her work in Tamil cinema, was spotted in high spirits as she left her home to attend the swearing-in ceremony of actor and politician Vijay in Chennai. She looked elegant in a teal and gold saree with a cream blouse for the event held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. Accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan, Trisha showed her support as Vijay took office as the Chief Minister.
Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has finally succeeded in forming the government in Tamil Nadu with the backing of various smaller parties. Following the recent Assembly elections, where TVK emerged as the largest party with 108 seats, alliances with parties like the Indian National Congress and Communist Party of India helped secure a majority in the 234-member Assembly. This victory marks a shift from the longstanding rule of the state’s major Dravidian parties.
The Governor has instructed Vijay to prove his majority in the Assembly by May 13, 2026. Earlier reports in February suggested marital issues between Vijay and his wife, leading to divorce proceedings. Subsequently, Vijay and Trisha made a public appearance together in matching attire at a wedding reception in March, fueling speculation about their relationship.
