Adani Enterprises Limited dismissed rumors and media reports suggesting its intention to venture into the airline industry. The company clarified that it is not considering any proposal to start an airline, labeling such claims as baseless and inaccurate. Adani Airports, however, announced a significant investment of over Rs 20,000 crore in developing integrated airport cities across five states in the initial phase.
Adani Airport City Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, disclosed plans to create airport cities at six locations, including Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These projects aim to integrate various amenities like hospitality, retail, entertainment, and commercial spaces within the airport premises. The company emphasized that a substantial portion of the investment will focus on Mumbai and Navi Mumbai due to their strategic importance in India’s commercial and aviation landscape.
The proposed developments are envisioned as interconnected urban districts where passengers, businesses, and local residents can access a range of facilities seamlessly linked with airport, Metro, and city transportation systems. Adani’s vision includes creating vibrant environments that blend airport infrastructure with commercial and entertainment offerings, catering to diverse needs within the airport vicinity.
