Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani expressed deep sorrow over the tragic passing of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash in Baramati. Adani recalled his recent meeting with Pawar in Baramati, highlighting Pawar’s dedication to nation-building and the state’s progress.
Gautam Adani stated, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar. Just a month ago, we stood together in Baramati for the inauguration of the Sharad Pawar Centre of Excellence in AI – a moment that reflected Ajit ji’s vision, his belief in progress, and his commitment to Bharat’s youth and her future.”
Pawar, along with four others, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash near Baramati. The incident occurred while Pawar was en route from Mumbai to Baramati for a public event during ongoing Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu also expressed their condolences, highlighting Pawar’s dedication to public service and his contributions to Maharashtra’s development. The nation mourns the loss of a leader deeply connected to the grassroots and committed to empowering the underprivileged.
