India’s Aditi Ashok shot a solid two-under 69 in the third round of the Amundi Evian Championship, moving up to tied-33rd position. Aditi, competing in her 38th Major, improved slightly on her previous rounds and remains in contention for a strong finish on the final day after a mix of birdies and bogeys.
While Aditi made progress, the spotlight was on South Korea’s Haeran Ryu, who delivered a remarkable 11-under 60 to break the course record and take a commanding three-shot lead at 19-under overall. Ryu’s exceptional round puts her on the brink of securing back-to-back Major titles, following her recent victory at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Haeran Ryu’s stellar performance included birdies, an eagle, and a near-historic 59, ending with a birdie to complete a sensational round. Other notable contenders include Japan’s Aki Iwai in second place at 16-under, Canada’s Brooke Henderson and Japan’s Mao Saigo sharing third place at 12-under, and South Africa’s Casandra Alexander in fifth at 11-under.
