A significant administrative error has been revealed just before the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam, with a candidate from Nagpur, Maharashtra, mistakenly assigned an exam center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, by the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to an error on the admit card. The incident has raised concerns among students and parents as the re-exam is set for June 21. The student’s family stated that despite selecting Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as preferred exam cities, the admit card showed Abu Dhabi as the center.
The candidate’s father, Mohammad Talib, expressed surprise and bewilderment at the unexpected allocation of a foreign exam center. Talib mentioned that his son, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, had previously taken the NEET exam in Nagpur without any issues. However, this time, the error has caused distress to Abdullah, who is currently struggling emotionally with the situation.
NTA officials have acknowledged the error, attributing it to a technical glitch on their end. Despite the emotional toll on the student, the family’s primary focus remains on ensuring Abdullah’s fair chance to sit for the exam. Talib emphasized that their main concern is for their son to have the opportunity to take the exam, regardless of the outcome.
