The Ahmedabad Police recently uncovered an illegal hookah bar operating within a cafe in Sarkhej, seizing nicotine-based hookah flavors and equipment valued at Rs 66,855. The raid, conducted in the Ambli Police Outpost area, was part of a crackdown on unlawful activities prior to the upcoming Rath Yatra festival.
Under the guidance of the city police commissioner and senior officers, including Police Inspector L.L. Chavda, the Sarkhej Police Station issued a statement detailing the operation.
Acting on a tip-off received by Police Sub-Inspector K.B. Chaudhary and his team, the police discovered that Rozana Cafe in Gheljipura was allegedly serving customers hookahs with nicotine-based tobacco flavors instead of herbal ones.
