Among the showcased solutions was Vidyut AI, a project by GNA Energy Private Limited, offering power market data, demand forecasting, and price analysis through artificial intelligence on a unified platform. Paru Agarwal, the product manager at GNA Energy Private Limited, highlighted the product’s multifunctional capabilities and its potential to streamline various functions on a single platform, incorporating market intelligence gathered by the company.
The company operates on two fronts, with an over-the-counter trading platform and providing essential intelligence to SLDCs, Power Purchase Committees, Discoms, and CNI consumers. Addressing the challenge of data digitization in the energy sector, the company has centralized data from various sources into a structured repository tailored to the Indian energy landscape. Agarwal also mentioned the company’s focus on demand forecasting, utilizing deep learning and neural network models for intra-day and long-term predictions, ranging from one to ten years.
Furthermore, the company has integrated encoder, decoder, and transformer models into its system, enhancing its capabilities in AI adoption. Agarwal emphasized the summit’s role in showcasing the true potential of AI, illustrating how everyday processes, data collection, and billing systems can benefit from AI applications. He noted the increasing adoption of AI in India and globally, underscoring the vast opportunities it presents. The Ministry of Power’s guidance and regulatory framework for startups and organizations were also highlighted, fostering innovation among the participants at the summit.
