AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami criticized the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government for a recent incident where a group of teenagers reportedly assaulted a youth with sharp weapons on a moving train. The attack, involving four 17-year-old boys carrying knives, occurred on a train journey from Chennai to Tiruttani. Palaniswami expressed deep concern over the incident, stating that it highlights the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The attackers, believed to be under the influence of drugs during the assault, have raised serious concerns about the safety of the public. Palaniswami emphasized the alarming nature of the incident, stating that minors should not have access to dangerous weapons and drugs. He criticized the State government for failing to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of school-going children.
Palaniswami called for accountability from the Chief Minister in preventing drug abuse among minors and addressing the breakdown in law and order. He accused the DMK government of neglecting the issue of drug abuse and the increasing trend of violent crimes. The AIADMK leader demanded stringent legal action against the perpetrators and urged immediate measures to combat drug trafficking and restore public safety.
