With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approaching in three months, AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami has called for a crucial meeting of the party’s district secretaries on December 31. This meeting aims to assess readiness and enhance organizational efforts on the ground. The party has been actively engaging in various meetings to strengthen its election machinery in preparation for the upcoming polls.
The focus of the upcoming meeting will be on evaluating the party’s grassroots strength across all districts. Palaniswami is set to review the status of booth-level committees, identify organizational gaps, and ensure the functionality of booth structures in every constituency. Special attention will be given to including voters missed during the recent Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
District secretaries will be tasked with recommending four suitable candidates from their districts for consideration by the central leadership during the meeting. Palaniswami is expected to emphasize the importance of strengthening the party’s organizational machinery and mobilizing grassroots voters. The leadership aims to steer clear of distractions like alliance speculations and focus on building momentum for the upcoming electoral battle.
As the Assembly elections draw nearer, the AIADMK leadership is keen on projecting organizational discipline, unity, and preparedness. The party aims to regain political ground and position itself as a strong alternative in Tamil Nadu’s political arena.
