A staffer from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru was arrested for misbehaving with a foreign woman passenger. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Mohhamed Affann Ahamed, allegedly misbehaved with the victim under the guise of conducting a security check. He took her near the men’s restroom and touched her inappropriately, prompting the woman to resist and report the incident to airport security.
The victim, who was traveling to South Korea, was allegedly misled by the accused into a private area for a security check. The accused reportedly touched her private parts, hugged her tightly, and made inappropriate advances. Despite the victim’s resistance, the accused fled the scene after sensing trouble, leaving the woman to report the incident to airport authorities.
Following the complaint, airport security staff promptly apprehended the accused and handed him over to the police. The woman, who arrived in India on a tourist visa, was on her way back to her country when the incident occurred. The Kempegowda International Airport police have initiated an investigation into the matter, with the accused, a resident of Kammanahalli, being placed in judicial custody for unauthorized frisking.
