The festival, which signifies the Maharashtrian New Year, is joyously observed in Maharashtra and parts of western India. Gudi Padwa symbolizes the onset of spring, prosperity, and fresh starts.
Ajay Devgn, who is married to actress Kajol with Maharashtrian heritage, shared a photo of Puran Poli on his social media, captioning it as a quintessential Gudi Padwa treat. The festival is known for traditional foods like Puran Poli, a delectable flatbread filled with jaggery and lentils, which play a significant role in the festivities. Kajol, hailing from a renowned Marathi film family, has strong ties to Maharashtra through her maternal lineage.
The actor, known for his diverse roles, recently announced his involvement in upcoming projects like Golmaal 5 and Drishyam 3. Ajay Devgn, who was last seen in De De Pyaar De 2, is set to reprise his role in the popular Golmaal franchise alongside actors like Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, and Tusshar Kapoor. The fifth installment will also feature Sharman Joshi and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.
