National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Ghadir Nezamipour, Deputy Secretary for Defence Affairs of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, during the 16th BRICS National Security Advisors’ Meeting in New Delhi. They discussed the current situation in West Asia, cooperation within BRICS, and bilateral relations between India and Iran. The meeting, held under India’s chairship, aims to address global security challenges and enhance collaboration among member countries.
Doval also engaged in discussions with Million Lema Tadesse, Executive Director of Analysis at Ethiopia’s National Intelligence and Security Service, to strengthen the Strategic Partnership between India and Ethiopia. The BRICS National Security Advisors’ Meeting focuses on the theme of ‘Non-traditional security challenges confronting the world today’, emphasizing the evolving nature of security threats and the impact of new technologies. Participants will review the outcomes of recent BRICS Joint Working Groups on Counter-Terrorism and Security in Information and Communication Technologies.
