Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav met with his MLAs at the party headquarters before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s Budget Session to strategize on confronting the government. Discussions included organizational matters and alleged irregularities in the electoral process.
Yadav expressed concerns over the government’s engagement of professional agencies to analyze voter list data from various locations and target booths where the Samajwadi Party historically performs well. He highlighted the mass distribution of Form-7 applications to eliminate voters linked to these booths, leading to protests in multiple areas.
Citing information from media reports, YouTube channels, and on-ground journalists, Yadav commended their efforts in exposing electoral irregularities. He criticized the alleged collaboration between the BJP and the Election Commission in manipulating elections, drawing parallels to previous instances in Bihar and West Bengal.
Questioning the Election Commission’s impartiality, Yadav emphasized the need to address the misuse of Form-7, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure the Election Commission’s neutrality to safeguard democracy.
