Actor Akshay Kumar has returned to television as the host of the gaming reality show “Wheel Of Fortune,” receiving positive feedback from viewers. Industry sources suggest that the show is gearing up for a second season with Akshay continuing as the host.
The Indian version of “Wheel Of Fortune” is an adaptation of the popular American game show that debuted in 1975, running for 43 seasons and gaining international acclaim. Premiering on January 27, 2026, the Indian version resonated well with audiences, thanks to Akshay’s affable hosting style that appealed to families.
During a recent episode featuring the team from Akshay’s film “Bhooth Bangla,” Ektaa Kapoor, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav appeared on the show. In a touching gesture, Ektaa decided to donate the winnings to Rajpal Yadav, who was recently released on bail from Tihar Jail in a loan repayment dispute and cheque bounce cases.
“Bhooth Bangla,” a horror comedy directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay, released on April 17 this year, marking the duo’s reunion after 14 years. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, the film hit theaters to audience delight.
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming projects include “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Haiwaan,” “Hera Pheri 3,” and “Golmaal 5.”
