Protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) regarding the NEET-UG paper leak have prompted intelligence agencies to warn of a likely disinformation campaign. Hostile elements might exploit the unrest to spread fake content on social media, aiming to incite violence and worsen public turmoil.

Videos circulating online, showing uniformed individuals making political statements, are suspected to be misleading or fabricated. Intelligence agencies are actively identifying and flagging manipulated posts and false content on social platforms to prevent further escalation of the situation.

Security officials emphasize the urgency of swiftly addressing such misleading content to prevent its prolonged circulation. There are concerns that malicious actors may flood social media with manipulated videos, falsely attributing messages to police or Army personnel, with the ultimate goal of undermining public trust in critical state institutions.

Officials caution that the Indian Army is likely the primary target of this disinformation campaign, as seen in past instances where propaganda aimed to discredit the armed forces. Foreign involvement in these efforts to defame the Indian Army is not ruled out, with security agencies remaining vigilant against potential intensification of such campaigns amid ongoing protests.
