Actress Ameesha Patel shared a humorous anecdote from the filming of ‘Humraaz’, where the massive popularity of ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ caused a disruption. During a crucial scene with Bobby Deol, fans, mistaking her for a character from ‘Gadar’, prevented him from hugging her. The incident took place while shooting the climax of the 2002 thriller ‘Humraaz’ at Jaipur Fort.
Ameesha recounted how an enthusiastic crowd halted the shoot by insisting that Bobby Deol should not touch her, believing she was the character Sakeena from ‘Gadar’. Despite the interruption, the team managed to complete the scene without offending anyone. Ameesha praised the Deols for their professionalism and kindness during the filming process.
Discussing ‘Humraaz’, a 2002 film directed by Abbas-Mustan, Ameesha Patel starred alongside Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Johnny Lever, and Suhasini Mulay. The movie, known for its gripping storyline and hit songs like ‘Bardasht Nahi Kar Sakta’, remains memorable even after 24 years. Ameesha rose to fame with ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ a year before ‘Humraaz’, playing Sakeena opposite Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh.
