Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the importance of the Women’s Reservation Bill, calling it a crucial step for women’s participation in policymaking. Shah expressed the government’s commitment to enacting this legislation promptly, urging widespread support for this significant initiative.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also voiced his support for the bill, acknowledging the role of women in shaping the nation’s future. Singh addressed women across India, applauding the decision to introduce reservations for women in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections by 2029. He emphasized the long-overdue nature of this reform and encouraged citizens to rally behind it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined in endorsing the Women’s Reservation Bill, underscoring the mounting backing for increased female representation in legislative bodies. Modi’s letter to India’s women reiterated the government’s dedication to implementing this reform that has been pending for years.
