Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the BJP and NDA governments now govern 80% of India, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and grassroots party workers for this political growth. Shah, speaking in Gandhinagar, emphasized the BJP’s significant expansion nationwide and its dominance in various states. He attributed this success to the hard work of party workers and the leadership of PM Modi, leading to the BJP’s rule in a majority of the country.
Under PM Modi’s guidance, the NDA government secured a third consecutive term at the Centre, according to Shah. He praised the dedication and efforts of party workers, highlighting their pivotal role in every victory. Shah commended the party’s connection with the public through grassroots workers who actively engage with local communities and address citizens’ concerns.
Shah noted the BJP’s evolution from a state-level entity to a national political force, drawing parallels to the Congress’s historical dominance post-Independence. He linked the BJP’s electoral triumphs to its governance and developmental initiatives, citing recent wins in Gujarat’s local body elections. The Home Minister lauded the state government’s developmental efforts under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, continuing the progress initiated by PM Modi.
Projects worth Rs 620 crore in Gandhinagar, including infrastructure enhancements like water networks, sewage systems, roads, and health facilities, aim to enhance urban living standards. Shah highlighted the BJP workers’ community service during the pandemic, providing relief aid, healthcare support, and assistance during vaccination drives. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel outlined the state’s vision for sustainable, eco-friendly cities with modern civic amenities, focusing on Gandhinagar’s environmental sustainability and urban development goals.
