Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the BJP-led government in Odisha for its efforts towards achieving the vision of “Viksit Odisha-2036” and contributing to the larger goal of “Viksit India-2047.” Shah, speaking in Bhubaneswar, emphasized the importance of social and economic progress in realizing the visions of ‘Viksit Odisha’ and ‘Viksit India’ in the state. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s leadership was commended for driving Odisha towards becoming a developed state by involving all categories of individuals in the development process.
Key initiatives such as ensuring a minimum support price of Rs 3,100 per quintal for paddy and launching the Subhadra scheme to empower women were highlighted by Shah as steps towards building a ‘Viksit Odisha.’ He also acknowledged Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and artistry. Notably, Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 3,275 crore in a single day, signing MoUs for six additional projects.
Chief Minister Majhi expressed confidence that these initiatives would lead to prosperity for farmers, youth, and mothers in Odisha, ultimately benefiting the state as a whole. He credited Shah for enhancing the strength, effectiveness, and professionalism of the Odisha Police, leading to a significant increase in the conviction rate for crimes against women. Odisha’s implementation of the Cooperative Policy-2026, aligned with the national cooperative vision, marked a significant milestone for the state.
Furthermore, the inauguration of 1,566 PACS Common Service Centres and the signing of an MoU for establishing a campus of the School of Tribhuvan Sahkari University were among the various projects launched, underscoring the commitment to holistic development in Odisha.
