Shah visited the iconic Goddess Kali temple in North 24 Parganas district before heading to a hotel in New Town for lunch. Following this, he will meet with the newly elected BJP legislators at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town to select the leader of the BJP’s Legislative Party in the Assembly, who will be West Bengal’s first BJP chief minister.
After the selection, the chosen leader will submit a request to form the new state cabinet to Governor R.N. Ravi at Lok Bhaban in Kolkata.
