Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced his participation in the ‘Poriborton Yatra’ organized by BJP’s West Bengal unit. The yatra aims to address the desire for change among the people of West Bengal, who are reportedly unhappy with the current governance. Shah will kick off the yatra from South 24 Parganas district, emphasizing the need for an ‘Infiltrator-Free Bengal.’
The BJP’s state unit launched a social media campaign targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress, highlighting alleged issues like corruption, unemployment, and collapsing healthcare. The campaign aims to bring attention to what the BJP refers to as the ‘wall clock of scams and Mahajungle Raj’ under the Trinamool regime. The party is rallying support for the ‘Poriborton Yatra’ under the theme ‘Poriborton Sankalpo, BJP Bikalpa.’
Accusing the Trinamool Congress of governance failures, the BJP plans to traverse multiple districts during the yatra. Party workers will engage with citizens, shedding light on corruption, political violence, and administrative shortcomings under the current regime. With Shah’s involvement in the inaugural event, the political landscape in West Bengal is set to witness heightened campaigning by major parties.
