If the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secures victory in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has pledged to arrange the necessary land for border fencing within 45 days of assuming office. Shah criticized the current state government for allegedly hindering border security efforts by not providing land for erecting fencing along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Shah emphasized that the BJP aims to address concerns about demographic changes in West Bengal caused by illegal infiltrators influencing voting patterns. He highlighted the party’s commitment to combating infiltration and ensuring the safety and security of the state’s residents. The Home Minister expressed determination to restore law and order and protect women’s rights in the state.
During a press conference, Shah commended the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, for his efforts in opposing the ruling Trinamool Congress government. He underscored the need for impartial justice against those involved in crimes against women, regardless of their political affiliations. Shah assured that if the BJP assumes power in West Bengal, similar stringent actions against offenders would be implemented.
