Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to kick off a two-day visit to Gujarat, starting Thursday. He will be inaugurating and laying foundation stones for various development projects in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency and Ahmedabad. Shah, who is also the Member of Parliament from the constituency, will commence his activities with a series of development-related events at different locations.
In Vadsar, Shah will inaugurate the newly constructed Jedva Lake, developed under the Anandam Parivar CSR fund. Additionally, he will inaugurate newly established libraries at Vadsar, Jalund, and Sardhav, which were developed under Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited’s CSR initiative.
At Khatraj, Shah will lay the foundation stone for lake beautification works by the Arvind Foundation and inaugurate a newly constructed village panchayat office. His agenda also includes inaugurating the Pay Centre Primary School at Moti Bhoyan and laying foundation stones for various development works in Sonipur village, Kalol, and Gandhinagar North assembly constituencies.
During his visit to Sonipur, Shah is scheduled to have lunch at the residence of former sarpanch and senior BJP worker Gandaji Thakor. He will also preside over a meeting of senior BJP office-bearers at the state party headquarters “Shri Kamalam.”
Shah is further expected to inaugurate the CBSE regional office in the Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad and a newly constructed hostel building at the Umiyadham campus in Sola. In Ahmedabad, the “Bharat Mata” sculpture developed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation at New Vadaj will be unveiled. Shah will then chair a review meeting at the Circuit House on preparations for the Olympic, Commonwealth, and World Police and Fire Games.
After concluding his scheduled programs on Thursday, Shah will head to Bhuj in Kutch, with additional engagements planned for Friday as part of his two-day program across Gujarat.
