Security management along the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura will be under scrutiny as Union Home Minister Amit Shah plans to assess the readiness of the BSF and other agencies in handling various challenges along the international frontier. Shah is scheduled to arrive in Agartala from Shillong and engage in meetings and events on Friday.
During his visit, Shah will conduct a thorough review of border security arrangements, focusing on issues like infiltration, trans-border crimes, smuggling, and overall border management along the India-Bangladesh border. The Home Minister’s meeting will lead to enhanced security and vigilance along the Bangladesh border and in human settlements near the border fencing.
Shah will hold discussions with senior officials of the BSF, state police, and other security agencies to address concerns related to the India-Bangladesh border. He will also visit selected border locations in West Tripura district to personally assess the situation before laying the foundation stone for infrastructure projects and participating in various activities on the Bangladesh frontier.
