Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a meeting in Gandhinagar district, instructed officials to identify villages lacking essential amenities like gas connections, toilets, water, and electricity. He emphasized the need for a detailed report on these shortcomings. The meeting, chaired by Shah in his Lok Sabha constituency, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and various other officials.
Shah directed officials to conduct surveys on villages without basic services and submit reports promptly for necessary actions. He also reviewed the progress of government schemes and urged the provision of livestock to all farmers. In response to the delayed monsoon, he called for a contingency plan and assessments of rain-fed areas. Additionally, Shah emphasized the establishment of cluster schools to reduce dropout rates among girls and promote reading through newly established libraries.
The Union Home Minister also addressed the inclusion of hamlets in the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana and stressed the timely distribution of health cards to senior citizens. The meeting commenced with presentations on development measures and future plans for the Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency. The DISHA committee, overseeing Central Government schemes at the district level, ensures effective implementation of development initiatives.
