Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited the historic Border Security Force (BSF) Sanchu Post in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Shah praised the dedication of BSF personnel guarding the borders. He inaugurated women’s barracks and reviewed modern border management technologies during the visit.
Shah commended the bravery of border personnel, acknowledging their sacrifices in extreme weather conditions. He highlighted the courage and dedication of the ‘Seema Praharis’ in fulfilling their duties. Shah also planted a Khejri sapling, emphasizing its significance in the desert ecosystem.
The Sanchu Post, with a rich historical legacy, witnessed significant battles during past wars. Shah expressed pride in the valour and history associated with the post. He fulfilled a long-standing wish by visiting the Sanchu Post and interacting directly with stationed soldiers.
During his visit, Shah engaged with soldiers on border security operations and environmental conservation. He conducted a thorough inspection of the ‘Zero Point’ area using binoculars. Shah is set to lead a high-level meeting at the BSF Headquarters in Bikaner to discuss border security and development projects for border villages in Rajasthan.
