Megastar Amitabh Bachchan celebrated India’s victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup along with millions of fans. After India clinched a resounding win in the final, Bachchan took to Twitter, expressing his pride and congratulating the team for their stellar performance on the global stage. India made history by becoming the first team to retain the Men’s T20 World Cup title and secure the crown for a record three times by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in front of a crowd of 86,824 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8.
Sanju Samson’s explosive 89 off 46 balls, including five fours and eight sixes, propelled India to a formidable total of 255/5, the highest in a T20 World Cup final. Bumrah and Axar Patel (3-27) then dismantled New Zealand’s top order, leading to their dismissal for 159 in 19 overs, with Tim Seifert’s 52 being the only notable resistance. Captain Suryakumar Yadav now joins an elite group as the fourth Indian to lead the men’s cricket team to a World Cup title without losing a series since assuming leadership in July 2024.
Amitabh Bachchan, currently filming the sequel to “Kalki 2898 AD,” shared his excitement for the project. The 2024 epic mythological science fiction film, inspired by Hindu scriptures and directed by Nag Ashwin, features a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Set in the dystopian future of 2898 AD in the city of Kashi, the story revolves around a group’s mission to safeguard the unborn child of lab subject SUM-80, believed to be Kalki, the final incarnation of Vishnu.
