Actress and comedian Amy Poehler reminisced about a past incident where she had a confrontation with a fellow first-class passenger during a recent episode of her podcast, Good Hang. Poehler, 54, was chatting with her Mean Girls co-star Ana Gasteyer when the incident was brought up.
Gasteyer shared a memory of being on a plane with Poehler during the filming of the 2004 movie. She mentioned an altercation where a man on the flight took issue with Poehler’s language in front of a baby. Despite the man’s complaint, Poehler humorously recalled how her Boston roots influenced her response to the situation.
During the podcast conversation, Gasteyer also recounted the moment when they learned that Tina Fey was interested in adapting the book “Queen Bees and Wannabees” into the movie “Mean Girls.” Fey’s adaptation starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, with Gasteyer playing Lohan’s character’s mother and Poehler portraying McAdams’ character’s mother.
