Top seed Anahat Singh and unseeded player Tanvi Khanna secured spots in the women’s singles semifinals of the Indian Open squash championship in Mumbai. Anahat and Tanvi won their quarterfinal matches at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) courts. Meanwhile, Joshna Chinappa exited the tournament after a 1–3 loss to Egypt’s Nadien El Hammamy.

In a thrilling quarterfinal clash, second seed Hana Moataz narrowly defeated eighth seed Yasshmita Jadishkumar in a five-game battle. The upcoming semifinals will see Anahat facing Tanvi in an all-Indian showdown, while Moataz will compete against El Hammamy for a spot in the final.

Anahat showcased her title contender status with a commanding 3–0 victory over Malaysia’s Sehveetrraa Kumar. Tanvi also impressed by defeating fourth seed Ainaa Amani 3–1. Despite a strong start, Joshna struggled against El Hammamy’s tactics and eventually lost the match.
