Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma on becoming the Chief Minister of Assam. Naidu, present at the swearing-in ceremony in Guwahati, praised Sarma for his hat-trick win and wished success to his Council of Ministers. Nara Lokesh, Naidu’s son and a TDP minister, also attended the event, lauding Sarma’s development-focused governance.
Lokesh commended Himanta as a transformative leader from the Northeast, highlighting his alignment with PM Modi’s vision. He expressed pride in the NDA’s victory in Assam and the region’s progress under Sarma’s leadership. Additionally, Lokesh shared about meeting Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at the Guwahati airport, praising Gadkari’s dedication to national development and infrastructure.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also extended his congratulations to Himanta Sarma on assuming office as Assam’s Chief Minister. Kalyan expressed confidence in Sarma’s leadership to meet public expectations, enhance border security, combat illegal activities, and steer Assam towards greater development. He also congratulated the newly sworn-in ministers at the ceremony.
